When I got pregnant with my 2nd baby, I researched all the baby carriers and decided on the EllaRoo wrap. Living in a warm climate, I wanted a wrap that would be light weight and breathable, not the thick one I had used with my first child. I knew from experience that a two shouldered baby carrier would be the most comfortable. I practiced back carries while pregnant with my older daughter who by that time was about 4 years old. We must have looked very funny but I had never been able to do back carries when she was a baby and I was determined to have the freedom this time. My husband and I used that EllaRoo wrap day in and day out and loved it. In fact, it was what inspired me to start my own business! My favorite memory is the time I was at a water park with my newborn completely tucked inside and nursing on and off all day. Many children approached me that day, wondering if that was a baby in there. Children are not afraid to ask questions! The cotton kept my baby out of the sun and also kept me cool while I kept my older daughter safe.

Sizing considerations: It is always fine to size up if you are going to be doing more complicated carries that require more fabric. For example, the Tibetan Carry uses more fabric. Long tails look elegant trailing at your hip and if they bother you, you can simply hem the wrap shorter or buy a smaller size. Also, moms of newborns may require a larger size than they will after they have lost more baby weight.
