Hey! How come there aren't any Scootababy baby carriers? What's going on?
What's going on is that the new, exciting style is about to launch after being debuted at the Babywearing Conference. I have just one for myself, pink of course, and Natalie has a green one. The new prints are stunning, and although it seems impossible, design improvements have been made to this already excellent carrier.
Some people have asked about the differences between the original and new design. Here are the major changes:
- Added stretchy binding on the edges of the fleece shoulder
- Removed binding on the shoulder straps, helping them slide more easily through the buckles
- Seat back is approx 1-1.5 inch taller
- Waist belt webbing is approx 2 inches longer
- The construction of the seat is now three vertical panels, versus three horizontal pieces.
Other quality details that aren't visible include interior reinforcement for the leg openings, and an extra structural layer under the center print panel. Lining is plush quilted microfiber. Binding and piping are custom made for our product. Lots of other smaller details and improvements, too many to list. Scootababy didn't take any shortcuts. We're thrilled with the finished product -- and hope you will be too!
